Any other fans of this movie? i saw it in theaters when i was 8 3 times and i had comics (still own) based on this movie.
Clive Barker has made an imaginative and unique horror fantasy that plays like Hellboy meets Pan's Labyrinth and Island of Dr. Moreau with imaginative monsters and good performance by David Cronenberg as the slasher Deckar.
I can't wait for the Cabal Cut coming to blu-ray next year

2 weeks ago i got the 3-disc LE CE blu-ray from Scream with both TC and Director's Cut and both look amazing on high def restoration as you think they were filmed last year despite 80s mullets/clothes/music and i watched TC first then the new DC which was discovered and nice to see a new different version which blows away the TC including the ending.

Great monster flick. One of the best during the 1980s' monster resurgence in which I would also includ Fright Night, the Lost Boys, Eraserhead, The Monster Squad and Vamp as being the standout offerings.
