In the first one, they seemed to randomly fire at anything that moves. They missed a lot of shots and destroyed stuff than actual Krites. Their guns were too high powered and seemed unsuitable for hunting Krites. Not to mention Ug being dangerously close to the toilet when he blew up the Critter trying to escape. Also, driving backwards.
In the second one, they seemed much more skilled. In the Hungry Heifer battle, Ug cleverly puts the chair leg in the door to prevent the Krites from escaping. Their shooting is much improved as they never miss a shot (they probably would have killed them all there and then if they didn't band together to break open the door). Later as Ug shoots after a Krite, quickly shoots up and to the sides to prevent a group attack. Sadly that's they way they get Lee, but he was fooled into an ambush.
Any thoughts?

It was easier to find their prey this time. The town was infested with Critters. Plus it wasn't their first time on Earth like last time.

Yeah, the method in the first movie probably worked in previous missions, but remember the Counselor (or whoever the bald blue guy was) warned them not to blow too much shit up like they almost did on their last job, so maybe that's just how they usually operate.

It's really just Lee that was trigger happy. Ug never fired his gun unless he had to.
