Would you think the faulty plot holes involving the Crites ever changing eating and behavior patterns in the sequels be explained by them evolving and adapting to the Earth's nature? Like in the first one they grew every time they ate, the second they ate in a pack and communicated by a strange echoing call, the third they communicated by screeching and were freaking HUGE and the last one... well they mutated or something.

That is a really good question. Maybe there are different type of race of Krites. each race ahs a better or different abbility. kind of like people, ech person lives adapts differently according to how they live where they live and how they eat.

Im kind of glad they didn't use the idea of them Growing all the time cause I love the way they look regularly and i didn't really care for the look of the giant one in the first film.....I also like the idea of them using high pitch sounds to communicate like they did in part 3. it made them more animal like.

I think they did mutate with each new batch.
