I'll be there and I can't wait. Just got my Deep Red poster in the mail yesterday. Now I'm ready for Argento's autograph. They've recently added a Laid To Rest 2 panel, which has me even more excited about the show.

Oh, man. I was born in Hammond LA but mainly grew up in Bloomington, IN.
I'm in Florida now but, I wish I could have had the chance to go some of these places! Lol. You're in Kentucky right? Damn, we could have met up!! Too bad I won't be able to make it to the Critters Con, I begged for rides but the people I'm staying with can't take eight hours to drive me there and back >_<
But thanks for adding me on FB, Chris!! I see your friends with the Deadpit guys too, they are awesome!!! Lmao, I found them a few years back when they reviewed that ripoff Creepshow 3 film, and have been following them ever since. Their review for Insidious convinced me to go see it for my birthday, coming up on the 11th. That'll be fun!

Haha honors all mine!
And yeah, the Deadpit guys are awesome, their reviews crack me up and I'll proudly be seeing Insidious on my birthday this Monday after they gave it a good review haha. I actually found your board after I signed up on theirs, so thats cool!
They're pretty much doing my dream, reviewing horror films and such. I've had buddies in the past who talked about doing that with me, but nothing ever really came of it. They all totally bailed on me >_< bastards Lol.
But aye! cheers.

yeah they were dead on with their review with Insidious (Pun not intented) it was one of the creepiest movies i have seen in a very long time. i really like the style of James Wan, he is a great filmmaker and i have liked everything i have seen of his so far.

Yeah I can't wait to see it! It takes A LOT to creep me out, and I feel like there was a dryspell in the last decade where nothing too good came out, I'm really not a fan of CGI or cheap "Jump" scares. I almost gave up on American movies, and completely turned to Foreign films. The last really good scare I had was when El Orfanato (The Orphanage) came out in 07, there's this one scene that literally made me shriek and decided to sleep with the lights on that night XD and THAT is a compliment.
But I'm well surprised to say that we're only four months in to 2011, and I already have a long list of films that I want to see! The dryspell of Hollywood is finally over it seems! haha.
And yeah, James Wan is awesome! I kind of wish the Saw series wouldn't have gone as far as it did, it kind of became a running joke for me, "If it's Halloween... I won't be seeing Saw!" And I swore, by Saw 17, Jigsaw would probably come back from the dead and battle Michael Myers or something lmao.
But the original is intense, it's very original like all of Wan's ideas, and he has a fan in me. More so after I see Insidious more than likely, everyone I know has been going on about how utterly insane and creepy it is, so I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday haha. Bring on the Cajun food and horror!

Yeah the Orphanage was a really good creepy horror film but it still failed at really scaring me, Insidious is the one movie i have seen in probably the last 10 years that really made me feel scared. it's very hard to scare me and i give James wan lots of credit for actually doing so,
The key to insidious is try not to watch it with a lot of people, the fewer the better, cause the slightest outside interference can take you out of the film.
Can't wait for you to see it, im interested in what you think about it.

Yeah the scene that got me in the orphanage was when that creepy old chick is just like, lurking in the background of the shed, and you only see her because she fumbles. That made me jump right out of my seat xD I think that's what I really like about foreign films, they present their stuff usually a lot more like, down played, more like real life. No obvious music building up to a quick CGI image running past the screen or anything. Just.. still, quiet and darkness.. then there's something there with you. Even if its not a monster, in my experience, some of the worst monsters are the ones that are just people.
And aye! I generally hate seeing movies with a bunch of crowds invading, there's always some turd that has to answer his frocking cellphone. It was so cool though, for my birthday a few years ago, the audience I saw Grindhouse with were so stupid.. they all got up and left after Planet Terror! They didn't realize it was a double feature, so I literally had the entire room to myself for Death Proof lmao. That's always fun.
And you can bet I'll get you a full review Monday night, I'm seeing it as late as possible so chances are, I won't be able to sleep after anyway haha. I'm hoping to have the wits scared out of me, it's been so long since I've been actually scared. Being terrified of the crap Hollywood mainly puts out doesn't count Lol.
