Does anyone know if The Playboy Magazine thats used in Critters 2 to have Lee transform into the supermodel is a real issue put by Playboy or was it just created just for the movie?
If this is a reall issue does anyone own a copy of it?

It wasn't a real magazine as far as I can tell, the cover was from the March 1979 edition. However the stuff inside (that we see) including the pose of Roxanne Kernohan as the centerfold do not match the contents of that issue.

Why did centerfolds had staples in them till 87? I think all magazines used staples to bind them together until eventually they started using glue.

The last issue of Playboy magazine (in North America at least) to use staples for binding was the September of 1985 issue. It even says so on the cover! It's also a memorable issue because thats the Madonna issue! So There were no staples in Playboy magazines in 1987, At least not in North America. But the material used inside the march of 1979 Playboy for the movie critters 2 is out there somewhere and it is a high end collectors item!!?? Somebodys got it and maybe you'll show up on ebay one day?? If not it's probably locked away in some random storage shed forgotten....for now.

It does sound like a collector's issue.
