Yes criter i have, it's enjoyable no doubt.
Deadly Blessing on blu-ray: Very good and creepy yet underated supernatural horror thriller set in Amish country where it deals with a religious cult similar to both the amish and hutterites only they have no connection to either nor to the mennonites as they are like counterfit versions of those 3 groups as they are hittites. A woman living in the countryside with her ex-hittite husband are having a nice life until her husband is killed in a mysterious accident and there could be a curse on her place possibly by the religious cult who calls her an incubus yet there's a killer on the loose who is killing off some of her friends from out of town and even some Hittites. Michael Barryman did a nice performance as a mentally challenged hittite member with Ernest Borgnine in a fine role as the elder/preacher of the hittites and Sharon Stone does her second film debut as she looks hot in this movie no doubt. creeped me out when i was 5 when i rented this on video, i had this movie on a blank tape for years with other stuff since i was 14 and all through the years i hope for a DVD yet Scream Factory finally answered the minds of every horror fan as they finally released it on DVD and even better known as blu-ray. They did an amazing transfer with quality sound and nice extras on this underrated gem. This movie is Rosemary's Baby meets Children of the Corn and Witness.
Prison (1988) on blu-ray: Another underrated 80s cult classic from Empire Pictures (the guys who brought you Re-Animator and From Beyond) and this is Renny Harlin's debut film that co-stars Viggo Mortensen and Tiny Lester. Entertaining and gory yet thrilling haunted prison movie that makes The Shawshank Redemption look like Evil Dead 2, i always loved it since i was a kid when it first hit video and had it taped on a blank tape for years. I also wanted this movie to hit DVD for years yet last year i was thrilled when Shout/Scream Factory announced a blu-ray/DVD combo of this film i was exicted and threw away the old tape that had this movie, Terrorvision and Death Valley on it. Scream Factory has done it again with a very beautiful and eye-pleasing transfer with ear-pleasing sound and extras abound that satisfy fans like myself.
Critters 2: Awesome sequel that i love as much as the first and makes good horror/sci-fi viewing for spring. Oh man how i remembered watching this in a theater as a kid and having a huge crush on Roxanne.
From Beyond on blu-ray: Kick-ass science fiction horror comedy hybrid movie from the makers of Re-Animator and one of Empire's best movies and also one of Charles Bands's best films. Stars the ever hot Barbara Crampton (one of my boyhood crushes and one of my teenhood fantasies), Jeffrey Combs and Ken Foree as they all do good performances here with amazing special effects, slimey creatures, gore and some humor that makes this a winner, i saw this in theaters when i was 5 years old and thought it was neat.
Wreck it Ralph on blu-ray: The best animated movie of 2012 no doubt, it's one of Disney's best and a great joy for video game fans like myself including nostalgia to it. Hilarious and original with amusing game character cameos.
Mulan on blu-ray: One of the most underrated Disney movies finally on high defnition, it looks and sounds nice on high def and this is one of my favorite Disney animated movies. A good storytelling, a heroine who's unique, comedy and a nice cast especially Eddie Murphy. I also have to admit when Mulan's not in drag as a guy, she's cute for a toon, lol.
Ticks on blu-ray: FINALLY on both DVD and Blu-ray, i always liked this fun killer bug movie for a long time since i was 12 and wished someday for a DVD, Olive Films finally did. A good quality transfer too, check this one out if you like killer bug movies.
Schindler's List on blu-ray: A 90s classic just got better than ever with quality restored picture and sound, it makes this powerful film look like it was filmed fresh as yesterday.
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust: Superb sequel that surpasses the first movie, excellent animation with stylish action, bloody sequences, unique monsters and a nice poetic story makes this one of the best animated movies in recent memory.
Phantasm: 70s Sci-fi horror fantasy hybrid shocker that became one of the most reowned cult movies of all time, this with Creepshow on video including seeing Fright Night in theaters when i was 4 made me the horror fan i am now.
Phantasm II on blu-ray: Unique sequel that rivals the first movie with gore, action, suspense, shocks and more silver spheres. I saw this movie 3 times in theaters as a kid and been one of my fave sequels since. Shout/Scream Factory did an amazing job on the picture and sound and finally gave us extras which they have improved on the shitty quality bareboned DVD from Universal.
Terrorvision on the Terrorvision/Video dead double feature blu-ray: Fun and silly as hell live-action cartoon of a sci-fi horror comedy from the producers of Re-Animator doesn't take itself seriously as it's meant to be a silly film and that's what i like about it. I liked this since i was a kid and for years i always wanted a DVD yet Shout/Scream has done it again as they FINALLY brought this movie on blu-ray and DVD. They did a super job on the picture/sound plus gave us 2 nice extras, kudos to Scream.
The Video Dead on blu-ray: A guilty pleasure of mine since 1988 and this cheesy yet amusing supernatural zombie movie is like a pre-cursur to Ringu all the way with the same theme on an evil TV that brings deadly things out of the TV. And like Terrorvison i too had it on a blank tape with other things for years taped from a second VCR my family had as i had my own and for years since 2000 i always wondered some day it will be on DVD yet Scream has done a very good job on the blu with picture and sound with nice extras too, thanks SF.
The Nest on blu-ray: Enjoyable killer insect Sci-fi horror movie about a maine town island resort attacked by lots of mutated flesh-eating cockroaches that could even literally transform into whoever they eat. Kind of like The Fly meets Squirm, liked it since i was 8 when i rented it on video. Scream has done an excellent job on the picture as it's sharp looking and improved over Concored's grainy fullscreen DVD.
Willow on blu-ray: Highly underrated fantasy comedy epic from Ron Howard and George Lucas, i saw this movie in theaters 4 times when i was a kid and loved it. I even had some of the merchandise to it and been one of my favorite fantasy epics, this was the Lord of the Rings of the 80s. It looks and sounds even sharper than ever on high def.
Peter Pan (Disney) on blu-ray: What can i say? i'm a disney fan and i remembered when i was 8 seeing this movie in it's 89 re-issue 4 times in theaters and been one of my fave disney movies. It looks and sounds sharper than ever thanks to the magic of HD.
Westworld on blu-ray: A classic 70s Sci-fi movie from the author of Jurassic Park is finally on blu-ray and i always liked this since i rented it on video as a kid. Yul Bryner is creepy as the killer cowboy cyborg and this movie is a possible influence on stuff like Chopping Mall and Terminator.
Futureworld on blu-ray: Underrated sequel is FINLALLY on DVD and blu-ray, Shout/MGM did a nice job on it on the picture quality and decent sound.
GI Joe 2 in theaters: Better than the first and kind of fun despite the first one has it's own sense of absurdity to it.
Jurassic Park in 3D: 90s Sci-fi action/adventure classic has returned in theaters for it's 20th anniversary and the 3D is very good too. I saw this movie 5 times when it first came out in theaters even on my 12th birthday even on opening day in Universal studios which i'll never forget.
Evil Dead remake in theaters: Very good remake that honors the original and produced by Campbell and Raimi, i liked it very much and wanna see it again, i can't wait for the unrated director's cut.
